Project

A YEAR BETTER (AYB) is an European project co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme in the framework of the Key Action 2 – Cooperation partnerships in the field of Adult Education. It focuses on empowering seniors by enhancing their digital skills and promoting active ageing. The project aims to bridge the digital divide, helping older adults become more self-sufficient by using online tools to manage their daily lives, from accessing healthcare and handling finances to staying socially connected.

The project brings together six partners from Spain, Poland, Italy, North Macedonia and Belgium. Through collaborative efforts, AYB will map Digital Survival Skills aligned with the DigComp framework, create a repository of digital solutions to combat loneliness and foster inclusiveness, and develop multilingual training materials designed specifically for ICT low-skilled adults and late digital adopters.

At the heart of AYB is the OER platform – an open educational resource hub where seniors can access free online and offline training in six languages. The platform and training will be tested in a pilot program with 120 participants across partner countries, ensuring its content is practical, accessible and impactful. By promoting digital inclusion and lifelong learning, A YEAR BETTER supports the EU’s mission of building a more connected, inclusive and empowered societyfor all.
